Sentinel Lymph Node(s) Biopsy (SLNB)

A sentinel lymph node is the first lymph node to which cancer cells are most likely to spread from a primary tumor. Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) is used to help determine the extent, or stage of cancer.

Fluobeam® enables surgeons to clearly visualize sentinel lymph nodes in various type of cancer and to improve the efficiency of the biopsy during surgery.

Clinical studies

  • Sentinel lymph node detection in prostate adenocarcinoma by intraoperative fluorescence imaging Urology clinic, Inselspital, Berne (Switzerland),
  • Near infrared sentinel node biopsy (SNB) in bladder cancer patients Urology clinic, Medical University of Gdansk (Poland)
